How to cook pizza. Homemade pizza toppings

It is unknown when exactly pizza became popular around the world. At first it was a simple thick flatbread made from dough and topped with tomato sauce. And now - a thin pie made from yeast dough with the addition of filling. Not long ago, the D.O.C. mark was installed in Italy, confirming the high quality of pizza. It is assigned only to those dishes in which the dough is rolled out by hand, and not by machine or with a rolling pin. This is the secret to making real pizza.

How to make pizza dough

Unleavened yeast dough

  • A glass of warm water or milk.
  • Salt - one-half teaspoon.
  • Yeast – 20 grams.
  • Egg.
  • Unrefined olive oil or margarine - three to four tablespoons.
  • Sugar - one and a half tablespoons.
  • Flour - four to five glasses.

Preparation:
Pour warm water or milk (about 30 ° C) into an enamel bowl and add yeast. Mix the sifted flour, salt, egg, sugar for about 5-8 minutes until a not very stiff, homogeneous dough comes out. Add warm olive oil, stir, cover loosely and set aside. After 2 hours, the dough should rise and you need to knead it. After 40-50 minutes the dough should begin to fall. You need to knead again, sprinkle with flour and place on the table to cut.

Influence of ingredients on dough quality:

  1. If you increase the amount of butter, the cake will come out crumbly and will not go stale longer.
  2. If you take milk instead of water, the appearance and taste will improve.
  3. If you use too little water, you will end up with a tough pizza.
  4. If you use too much water, you will end up with a flattened, mushy pizza.

How to make pizza without dough

The good thing about making pizza is that you can experiment at any time. Let's make a pizza with potatoes instead of dough. Cooking time 10-20 minutes. Let's say we have a family of 4 people. For 4 servings we need:

  • Basil - eight leaves.
  • Pepperoni - eight to ten slices.
  • Marinera sauce - one-fourth cup.
  • Mozzarella cheese - three-quarters cups.
  • Salt - four teaspoons.
  • Potatoes - two pieces.

Preparation:
Potatoes need to be cut into thin strips. They are used as a crust. To get a crispy crust, you should use a cast iron frying pan with a thick bottom. You need to pour 3-4 tablespoons of unrefined olive oil into it. Then heat the frying pan until smoking and spread the potatoes evenly.

After 5 minutes, sprinkle the potatoes evenly with grated mozzarella cheese and sprinkle with salt. Without waiting for the cheese to melt, add the pepperoni slices and spread with the marinera sauce.

As soon as the bottom crust turns golden brown, the pizza is ready. Also, for taste, you can add 5-6 pieces of fresh basil 2-3 minutes before you remove the pizzas from the heat.

How to properly cook pizza at home

Italian classic pizza is cooked over wood in a special oven in which the temperature reaches 400 °C. Agree, it is difficult to repeat such a technological process in modern apartments. But you can make classic thin pizza dough. To make it, you need a special type of flour. It is extracted from the inner part of the grain. Its feature is its low gluten content. Such a bag of flour is marked with two zeros.

Ingredients:

  • Salt.
  • Fresh yeast - fifteen grams (only fresh, not dry).
  • High quality water - one hundred grams.
  • Flour - Two hundred and fifty grams.

Preparation:
First, let's prepare the dough. Dissolve the yeast in a small amount of water. Add a little water, 50 grams of flour and mix. You will get a liquid substance that should be left for 20 minutes. Pour the flour onto the table and mix it with salt. Make a hole in the middle and pour the dough into it. Knead the dough vigorously, adding flour little by little.

The dough should come out moist, soft and elastic. We form 2 koloboks from it and let them brew until the volume doubles (it will take approximately 2 hours). And one more piece of advice. You cannot form a disc using a bottle or rolling pin. It should be tossed and stretched. This is difficult to do without experience, but there is no other choice. The Italians do this so that the dough is well baked and filled with air.

How to cook pizza in the oven

To make pizza in the oven you need to use yeast dough. Proofing should take 40-60 minutes. In addition, before you put the dough in the mold, you need it to fall 2 times. There are 2 methods of cooking pizza in the oven - on a baking sheet or in a frying pan. A thin frying pan is not suitable for the oven. The bottom should be at least two millimeters thick. And the baking sheet should be greased with vegetable oil.

You don't have to roll out the pizza crust, just smooth it over the entire surface with your hands so that the edges hang down a little. Let it sit for about 7 minutes before baking. If you decide to bake pizza in a frying pan, then sprinkle the bottom with semolina and grease with vegetable oil so that the cooked pizza can be easily removed. Place the dough in a frying pan and leave for 10-15 minutes, and only then put it in the oven.

Pizza in the oven is usually baked in 2 stages. First, put the dough and bake until half cooked (thin crust on top, but raw inside). Remove from the oven, add the filling and bake again until done. The average baking time depends on the ingredients of the product and the type of oven, and takes 30-50 minutes.

How to cook pizza quickly

To make everything quickly, take a pizza recipe with thinly rolled dough. Buy ready-made dough.

Ingredients:

  • Sauce.
  • Salt.
  • Unrefined olive oil.
  • Greenery.
  • Champignons - three hundred grams.
  • Hard cheese - three hundred grams.
  • Boiled pork - three hundred grams.
  • Semi-smoked or smoked sausage – three hundred grams.
  • Fat mayonnaise or fat sour cream - one hundred grams.
  • Thin pizza bases.

Preparation:
Cut the mushrooms into small slices and fry until tender. Cut the boiled meat and sausage into strips. Cut the onion into half rings. Pour the sauce over the prepared base - circles and tesko. Pour sour cream or mayonnaise over the base so that the places where there is no sauce are filled. It turns out that the base on which the filling rests is greased with either sour cream (mayonnaise) or sauce.

Place sausage and meat on the base in a checkerboard pattern. Sprinkle a thin layer of mushrooms and herbs on top. Add salt to taste. Cut the cheese into small strips and sprinkle it all over the pizza. Place all this in the microwave for 5 minutes at 75% power. Garnish the prepared pizza with chopped herbs.

How to cook pizza in the microwave

Making pizza in the microwave is even easier than in the oven, and it takes much less time to cook. The dough bakes much worse in the oven than in the microwave. Another plus is that the pizza ingredients do not burn when cooked in the microwave. The dough turns out tender and fluffy. For this cooking method, the dough needs to be made a little liquid, with a small amount of yeast. Before baking, you should put a glass of water in the oven and warm it up a little.

Ingredients for the dough:

  • Salt - to taste.
  • Sugar - a tablespoon.
  • Water - half a glass.
  • Margarine – one hundred grams.
  • Flour - one and a half cups.

Filling ingredients:

  • Hard cheese - two hundred grams.
  • Ground red pepper.
  • Ground black pepper.
  • Tomato sauce.

Preparation:
Grate the margarine on a fine grater. Then grind it with flour by hand. Pour salt, prepared flour mixture and sugar into a bowl of cool water. Knead the dough. Then place it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. After this, divide into two parts and roll out. Place both parts together again, knead for a couple of minutes, divide into two parts and roll out again. This procedure is repeated a couple of times. Finally, roll out the cake to the required thickness.

Once the dough is ready, bake it for 4-8 minutes in the microwave at 800 W. Mix black and red peppers with tomato sauce. Pour this mixture over the pizza and sprinkle grated cheese on top. Place it in the oven again and bake for 1-1.5 minutes at 800 W.

This recipe is good because it is prepared quickly, since there is no need to knead the dough. You buy it.

Ingredients:

  • Greenery.
  • Hard cheese.
  • Semi-smoked or smoked sausage.
  • Ketchup.
  • Fresh garlic - three to four cloves.
  • Lokuvits – 5 pieces.
  • Frozen puff pastry.

Preparation:
Either yeast or non-yeast puff pastry is suitable. Separate the layers from each other and defrost them. It is best to do this at room temperature.

Peel and finely chop the onion. Do the same with garlic. Then take a frying pan, put it on the fire, pour a little salt on the bottom (so that the oil does not splatter), pour in vegetable oil and fry until golden brown. Cool and add the required amount of ketchup. Stir. This mass will serve as a layer between the filling and the cake. It is also needed to pour on top of the pizza.

Prepare the filling. The easiest method is to place the sliced sausage on the baked crust and sprinkle grated cheese on top. However, if you use your imagination, there will be a lot of options! You can look in the refrigerator and take all the food from it.

Well, in the end the main secret! Roll out the dough in one direction only!
Brush all cake layers with onion and ketchup mixture. Spread the filling evenly onto each layer and sprinkle grated cheese on top.

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Place the pizza in it. Wait another 2-3 minutes from the moment the cheese starts to melt and the pizza is ready!

Scientists say that baker's yeast is very harmful to humans. They do not die during heat treatment, and in the intestines they can suppress beneficial microflora responsible for immunity. So let's make pizza without yeast. And to make it even more healthy, add rye flour.

Ingredients for the dough:

  • A pinch of salt.
  • Water - a glass.
  • Rye flour - one and a half cups.
  • Whole wheat flour - one and a half cups.

To make a soft dough, add a little soda and replace the water with kefir

Ingredients for filling:

  • Non-rennet cheese - three hundred grams.
  • Bulgarian sweet pepper - one or two pieces.
  • Olives without bones - three hundred grams.
  • Onion – small head.
  • Tomatoes – three or four things.

Preparation:
Mix salt, wheat and rye flour. To make a soft dough, put a pinch of soda in the kefir and let it brew for about 5 minutes. At this time, air bubbles will begin to appear in the kefir, which will give softness to our dough. Pour water or kefir into the flour mixture. Knead the dough until it sticks to your hands. Make a bun out of the dough, then roll it into a thin layer. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes.

Chop the onions, bell peppers, olives and tomatoes. Mix olives and onions, add spices and salt. Once the crust is baked, add the tomatoes, a mixture of olives and onions, top with bell peppers and sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake for 10 minutes in the oven.

In this pizza cooking method, you first need to heat the pan to the desired temperature. Then pour in vegetable oil and heat it up. Place the dough and fry on both sides. If you cook with a lid, this process will take less time. In this case, generously grease the frying pan with oil, add the dough and filling and cook over low heat.

The dough cooks quickly. The filling is prepared in advance. It should be thick so that there is no spreading. A good option would be one in which dried vegetables, fish or meat are on the bottom, and raw or soft foods can be on top.

Video lessons

Hello my dear and beloved readers and guests of my blog. Today I will tell you how to make homemade pizza. I think many will support me in the fact that everything cooked at home always tastes better. And not only because we choose the products and recipes for cooking ourselves.

And most importantly, homemade food tastes better because we cook for ourselves with soul and love. And of course, the Italian pie, beloved in Russia, is no exception.

I don’t like it when my family buys it or orders it to their home, so I cook it quite often. In addition, it is much cheaper than overpaying for a ready-made one. And, in principle, it doesn’t take much time to bake it.

I like it when there is a lot of cheese on the pizza and the base is not very thin. But this is all for everyone, so I will describe in detail several cooking options. I wrote a previous article about the dough. So you can look at the methods of preparing it or use those suggested in this article.

And you can use my recipes or, based on them, create your own masterpieces in a hurry. Because there are no specific canons for preparing this pastry, you can use your imagination or just put whatever you have on hand.

Before sharing recipes about baking, I always remind you that always sift the flour before starting to knead. Your product will only get better from it.

Before we start making pizza, let's look at one of the simplest pizza dough recipes. This recipe is the easiest to prepare. Minimum cost of products and time.

Ingredients:

  • Flour - 2 -3 cups
  • Vegetable oil - 0.5 cups
  • Water - 0.5 cups
  • Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - salt to taste

Method of its preparation:

1. Pour half a glass of vegetable oil, salt and half a glass of hot boiled water into a bowl. Mix everything together.

2. Then add sifted flour portionwise. Pour baking powder in there.

3. And start kneading the dough. At first it is convenient to stir with a spatula or spoon. Then knead with your hands. It should become elastic.

Look at the dough to see how much flour you actually need. It should not stick to your hands. It should be soft and elastic. When you achieve this effect, it’s ready.

4. Transfer it to a bowl, cover with film or a lid and leave it to rest for half an hour, and then you can start rolling out.

Now let's start preparing the pizza itself.

Homemade baked goods with sausage, cheese and tomatoes

Puff pastry for pizza on water

It turns out very tasty on a puff base. You can buy it ready-made directly in the store, or you can prepare it yourself. I prefer to buy it, since the preparation process takes a fair amount of time, but sometimes I still make it at home.

If you chose the second method, I have attached a good recipe for you. It is made from two different types - one with butter, the second - with water, using vinegar.

Ingredients:

For test #1:

  • Butter - 250 gr.
  • Flour - 150 gr.

For test #2:

  • Flour - 350-400 gr.
  • Egg - 1 pc.
  • Cold water - 160 ml.
  • Vinegar 9% - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - half a teaspoon

Cooking method:

1. First we make the first base. Mix the butter with flour, chop it into small pieces and knead until you get an elastic lump.

2. Now we make the second base. Sift the flour into a bowl, add salt and stir.

3. Pour cold water into a glass (you can keep it in the freezer to cool it in advance), break an egg into it and stir. And then add one spoon of vinegar and stir again.

4. Make a hole in the flour and add water and egg there in several additions and mix.

5. Start kneading the dough. At first it is convenient to mix a little with a spatula, then with your hands. During the kneading process, sprinkle flour on the table and knead it on the table. It should become elastic and not stick to your hands. Both bases should feel the same to the touch.

6. Roll out the vinegar base and place the butter base in the middle, then wrap it in an envelope. Wrap in film and place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

7. After 30 minutes, sprinkle the table with flour and place it seam side down. Roll it out so that the two doughs are evenly distributed. Then place it back in the envelope, seam side down, put it in a plastic bag and put it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

8. Then roll it out again, put it in an envelope and again in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. And roll it out one last time and fold it into a roll.

The dough is ready to use. We specially rolled it out three times so that there were more layers. You can repeat this procedure several more times.

Pizza in the oven is now the main way to prepare pizza. I remember the Russian stove and again I remember the Italian cinema where they bake pizza. Well, how similar it is to our ovens. Only in those days when we did not yet have electric or gas ovens, we simply did not know what pizza was.

Of course, another of the main ways to prepare pizza is

But now we cook them every time and with whatever we cook them with. And pizza in the oven, and in a slow cooker, and with sausage and cheese, and with cucumbers, and with olives, and with mushrooms, in general, with everything that you can eat.

  • Yeast - 30 g fresh or 10 g dry
  • Sugar - 1 tbsp.

  • Olive oil

Pizza in the oven preparation:

1. Pour 100 ml. warm water in a small cup and add yeast to the water, add a spoonful of sugar. Mix everything.

3. Little by little add flour to this yeast and stir; add very little flour, just so that it mixes with the yeast in the well where we poured the yeast. Set the flour aside for a moment.

4. Pour salt and 4 tablespoons of olive oil, or any odorless vegetable oil, into the remaining water.

5. Pour water and oil into the dough and now begin to knead the dough. First, mix with a spoon, and when the water is absorbed, begin to knead with your hands.

6. When all the water has been completely absorbed, dump the dough onto the prepared table. We continue to knead. All the flour should be incorporated into the dough, the dough will become elastic and smooth. In general, it already looks like dough. From this point on, the dough must be kneaded for at least 7-10 minutes.

7. Our dough is kneaded. It turned out to be dense, elastic and does not stick to your hands. Place the dough in a cup, cover with film and place in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours.

8. Time has passed, open the dough. Look how it rose. It probably doubled in size.

Preparing the pizza filling

9. Prepare the filling. The filling is an individual matter, as you understand. You can take whatever you want. But still, there are moments in making pizza that should not be neglected.

10. Turn on the oven to maximum heat. In electric ovens this is usually 250°-300°.

11. Divide the dough into 3-4 parts, it depends on what shape you have, roll out the flatbread according to the diameter of the shape. Grease the mold with vegetable oil and sprinkle with a little flour.

12. Place our flatbread on the mold and pour a little vegetable oil on top and spread it over the entire surface with a brush.

13. Pour some tomato juice and also distribute it over the entire surface. Sprinkle with oregano seasoning and salt.

14. Place salami sausage, pre-cut into thin slices, on top.

15. Then lay out thinly sliced champignons. Don’t try to put in as much filling as possible; the dough should show through somewhere.

16. Place our cheese on top, maybe cut into fairly large pieces. Well, that’s all, the pizza assembly is finished, now all that’s left is to bake.

Baking pizza in the oven

17. Our oven has warmed up to 250°. We will place pizza on the top level. If we had a gas oven, then we should place it in the middle. Of course, if possible, it is best to bake pizza at a temperature of 300°-320°-350°.

18. Place the pizza in the oven for 8-10 minutes. Be sure to watch the test. Once it is browned and the cheese is melted, the pizza is ready. It is difficult to pinpoint the exact time. Everyone has their own baking conditions.

  1. Pizza in the oven - homemade recipe with photos

Ingredients:

For the test:
  • Yeast - 1 sachet
  • Sugar - 1/2 tsp.
  • Flour - 2 cups
  • Vegetable oil
For the sauce:
  • Tomato paste - 300 g.
  • Sugar - 1-1.5 tbsp.
  • Onion - 0.5 heads
  • Garlic
  • Bay leaf
  • Basil
  • Freshly ground pepper
For filling:
  • Sausage according to your taste
  • Parmesan cheese or any hard cheese
  • Mozzarella cheese - there is no substitute for this
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Basil leaves

Preparation:

1. Dissolve a packet of yeast in 50 grams of warm water, approximately 30°-35°. Use yeast based on the recommendations on the yeast packet.

If there is more yeast, the dough can always be kneaded to its normal state, but if the dough has not risen, then it has not risen, nothing can be done.

Stir, trying to break up any lumps. Add 1/2 teaspoon of sugar to the yeast and stir a little so that the yeast actively starts working.

2. Pour 2 cups of flour and half a teaspoon of salt into a deep cup. Gradually pour in the yeast that we dissolved in warm water and immediately begin stirring. We poured in about 1/3 of the yeast and stir until it is absorbed, pour in the next 1/3, etc.

3. Our dough should be thick enough. It may seem very thick to you at first, but don’t worry, the yeast will start working and it will become much softer.

As you understand, it is difficult to guess the proportions down to the gram; everywhere has its own flour, so see for yourself. You can always add water if the dough seems too thick, or vice versa flour.

4. As soon as the dough comes together a little, sprinkle the table with flour and dump the dough there.

5. Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes, you should get a neat piece of dough without any inclusions or cracks.

6. Pour vegetable oil into a container and roll the dough in it on all sides. Place the dough in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours.

7. Meanwhile, prepare the sauce. Finely chop the onion.

8. Chop the garlic very finely.

9. Fry the onion and garlic in a small amount of vegetable oil for a couple of minutes.

10. Add tomato paste to the pan, without adding water yet. Let the pasta in this form fry a little with onions and garlic and absorb their smell. Warm up, stirring the paste, for a couple of minutes. You can add a little oil to the pan.

11. After a couple of minutes, add water. We dilute the paste until it is slightly thinner than ketchup. Stirring, let it sit until the water evaporates so that the sauce becomes like ketchup.

Add a couple of bay leaves and be sure to add basil, fresh if you have it. Be sure to add a tablespoon of sugar, or a little more, to taste. The sauce should not be sour.

Add salt and freshly ground pepper, add all this to taste. Everything should boil, stirring occasionally, for about 20 minutes so that all the flavors mix.

12. Cut the dough into 2 parts. We will make thin pizza.

13. Of course, it is best to stretch the dough with your hands rather than roll it out with a rolling pin, because the rolling pin squeezes a lot of air out of the cake. But these are subtleties; you can roll them out with a rolling pin. Consider the size of your baking pan.

14. You can pour a little oil on the mold or baking sheet, you can sprinkle it with flour and the simplest thing is to line it with parchment paper. Today there was no paper at hand. Sprinkle a baking sheet with flour, place our flatbread there and straighten it a little.

15. Cut the mozzarella cheese into large slices, and then crumble it into fairly small pieces. This cheese makes the filling sticky.

16. Grate Parmesan on a coarse grater. You can take it even a little less than mozzarella. This cheese adds flavor. You can use any other hard cheese if you don't have Parmesan. Yes, and it's quite expensive.

17. Cut the smoked sausage into thin slices. Do not use soy sausage or any cheap sausage, this will ruin the taste of the pizza.

18. Cut the cherry tomatoes into 2-3 parts.

19. In an oven preheated to the highest temperature, of course, if you don’t have a super culinary miracle, place a baking sheet with a flatbread for 2-3 minutes so that the dough sticks a little. Of course, if you have a modern, powerful oven, you can immediately bake the flatbread along with the filling.

20. Grease the flatbread with our delicious sauce.

21. Place chopped sausage on the sauce and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

22. Place mozzarella cheese and tomato slices on top. Sprinkle with olive oil.

23. That’s it, put the pizza in the oven until the crusts are golden brown. This should take a little time, from 5 to 15 minutes. It all depends on the oven. Keep an eye on the dough and the cheese, it should melt.

24. Take the baking sheet out of the oven and see what a miracle we have created. Yes, it didn’t turn out very thin, but it was so appetizing.

25. Decorate with greenery. Notice that the pizza didn't stick at all.

Cut into pieces. Look what the mozzarella does, it stretches half a meter up.

Yummy.

Bon appetit!

    1. Defrost the purchased puff pastry, ours is yeast-free (but this is not particularly important), and simply unroll and divide into two rectangular sheets, do not roll out and place on a baking sheet greased with vegetable oil.

    2. Squeeze a little mayonnaise and ketchup onto each sheet

and distribute evenly around the perimeter.

    3. Place chopped sausages on top of the sauce.

    4. The next layer is fried mushrooms. We love mushrooms, so we put out a lot of them.

    5. Place chopped tomatoes and grated hard cheese on top.

    6. Fold the edges on all sides and lightly pat or press the filling so that it does not fall off the pizza when the dough begins to rise in the warmth. And puff pastry is sure to start.

    7. Place the baking sheet in the oven, preheated to maximum, and watch when the cheese melts and, most importantly, the edges of the dough turn brown. This may take from 5 to 20 minutes, depending on the oven. So decide on the dough and cheese.

    8. Remove from the oven. Look how flushed she is.

Despite the fact that pizza is a traditional Italian dish, it has become firmly established on the Russian menu. Today, without pizza, it’s hard to imagine a hearty breakfast, a youth party, a quick snack, an outdoor picnic, or friendly gatherings in a large company. If pizza was initially considered a food for the poor, today it is a dish that is eaten with equal pleasure by both ordinary housewives and millionaires.

You can order ready-made pizza in a cafe or buy it in a supermarket, but there is nothing tastier than homemade pizza made with your own hands. Classic Italian pizza has a thin crust and juicy toppings. The main components of this dish include tomato sauce and cheese, and the remaining components - mushrooms, meat, ham or seafood - are added as desired.

To ensure that the result does not darken your expectations, you should remember the basic rules for preparing authentic Italian pizza. Pizza dough should be prepared in advance so that it has time to rise well. Longer fermentation times help the dough expand in volume and also make it taste sweeter. You should not be fanatical about kneading the dough: this should be done only until it reaches the required consistency - it will no longer be sticky and will stretch well. Over-kneading the dough can cause the finished pizza to be very fragile.

Before rolling out the dough, let it sit in a warm place until the dough becomes soft and pliable. Some professionals believe that the pizza base should be partially prepared in advance. In this case, you need to lightly bake the rolled out dough in the oven, then put the filling on it and bring it to readiness. This is done in order to avoid overcooking the filling and burning the cheese, since the dough takes much longer to prepare.

To achieve the perfect crispy crust, it is best to use high protein bread flour. If your goal is a pizza with a soft, fluffy base, you'll need to add more water to the dough or use less flour. Wetter dough will result in a softer crust. In this case, it is better to use low protein flour.

Avoid using expensive ingredients - always use easily accessible ingredients for the filling, such as ham, minced meat, sausages, mushrooms, vegetables, etc. To save more money, use ingredients you already have in the fridge, such as leftover sausage from breakfast. The ingredients for the filling must be fresh. Remember that canned and wet foods tend to make the pizza soggy. To prevent this from happening, try to remove excess water from such products.

Never skimp on the sauce, as it determines the final taste of the pizza and helps make the toppings juicier. A sauce made from tomato paste, which is almost always on hand, is undoubtedly very quick and convenient, but take the time to prepare a sauce from fresh tomatoes and spices, which can really enrich the taste of the pizza. If you have good quality Mozzarella cheese, don't bury it under other ingredients, but place it on top. Remember that not every filling is suitable for different thicknesses of dough. Thus, thin, crispy dough is best suited for meat and vegetable fillings, while for making pizza stuffed with several types of cheese, it is better to use fluffy dough, which will well support the melted cheese mass.

If you like your pizza juicy, you can add some chopped onion to the topping. Pizza should be served as soon as it is cooked, before the cheese hardens. Chilled pizza can be reheated in the oven or microwave, but freshly made pizza is best served as nothing beats the aroma of fresh baked goods. Watch the pizza as it bakes in the oven from time to time, especially towards the end of the cooking time. It can quickly go from half cooked to overcooked in those last few minutes.

Cutting a pizza with a bad knife can destroy the toppings and make the pizza unappealing, reducing the overall pizza experience. In this case, it is best to cut the pizza with special sharp scissors as soon as you take it out of the oven. It is better not to delay with this matter, since as the pizza cools, the dough will harden and will be more difficult to cut. Thanks to cutting with scissors, the cheese will stay in place and the filling will not fall apart.

The secret to delicious homemade pizza also lies in the drinks you serve with it. Remember that overly sweet drinks, coffee drinks, and carbonated drinks can overpower the flavor of the pizza. The best options in this case are green tea, mineral water, tomato or orange juice, dry wines and beer. By following all these simple tips, be sure that all your culinary efforts will not be in vain and will be rewarded with compliments and admiration from loved ones and guests.

This yeast pizza dough recipe calls for active dry yeast. Make sure the yeast is fresh and the expiration date on the package has not expired. You can use all-purpose flour to make the dough, but specialty bread flour contains more gluten than regular flour, which helps create a crispier pizza crust.

1 package of dry yeast,
3.5 cups flour,
2 tablespoons vegetable oil,
2 teaspoons salt,
1 teaspoon sugar.

Brush the dough with oil, cover with plastic wrap and leave in a warm place until it has doubled in size. Usually it takes 1-1.5 hours. You can leave the dough for more time - this will only improve the taste of the pizza. Alternatively, you can heat the oven to 65 degrees, turn it off and place the bowl of dough in the heated oven, allowing the dough to rise.

Making pizza dough the traditional way using yeast takes some time, during which time the dough needs to rise in volume. Yeast-free pizza dough is perfect when you don't have time to wait for the dough to rise. This dough is very simple to prepare, and homemade pizza based on it turns out incredibly tasty.

Ingredients:
2 cups of flour,
2 teaspoons baking powder,
1/2 teaspoon salt,

In a large bowl, mix all ingredients until the dough no longer sticks to the sides of the bowl. Place the dough on a greased baking sheet and form thick edges that will hold the filling. Add the toppings and bake the pizza at 220 degrees for about 15 minutes.

The key to great pizza, of course, is delicious dough. While some people prefer a soft, fluffy base, just as many people love a thin, crispy crust. Thin pizza dough means it doesn't need extra time to expand, so it's ready in minutes. The dough prepared according to the recipe below has a crispy crust, but at the same time is quite plastic.

Ingredients:
2 cups of flour,
3/4 cup warm water,

1.5 teaspoons salt,
2 teaspoons Italian herbs.

Dissolve yeast in water. Add flour, salt, Italian herbs and stir. Place the dough on the table and knead into a smooth, elastic dough for about 5 minutes. If the dough sticks too much to your hands and countertop, like chewing gum, add additional flour, 1 tablespoon at a time. Place the dough in a bowl and cover with a clean kitchen towel while you prepare the filling.
When ready, divide the dough into two parts and form each part into a large disk. The dough should have a thickness of no more than 6 mm. To obtain a very thin base, the dough must be rolled out with a rolling pin. If the dough starts to shrink back, let it sit for 5 minutes and then continue rolling.
Place the dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake at 220 degrees for 4-5 minutes. Remove the dough from the oven, add the filling and bake for another 6-8 minutes.
